Um poema simples e sem pretensões, como o amor de mãe
AS MÃOS DE MEU FILHO
₢ Dalva Agne Lynch
Ele veio de mansinho...
Seus grandes olhos escuros
sorridentes
continham tanta certeza!
Suas mãos de menino eram pássaros
em cujo voo tudo era possível...
Então ele cresceu
tão de repente...
Seus grandes olhos escuros
profundos
espelharam toda a tristeza
de um voo cerceado.
Suas mãos tenteantes eram sondas
para além do próprio desencanto...
E então ele se tornou homem.
Seus grandes olhos escuros
límpidos
instilam confiança, certeza.
E suas mãos fortes são enseadas
onde os pássaros ao seu cuidado
preparam-se
para voar...
ENGLISH VERSION
A simple and unpretentious poem, like a mother´s love
The hands of my son
(to my son Samuel, on his 25º birthday)
Dalva Agne Lynch
He came so softly...
His great smiling eyes
were so dark
and so full of confidence!
His hands were little birds
in whose flight
everything was possible…
Then he suddenly
grew up…
His great dark eyes
so full of depth
reflected all the sadness
Of a clipped flight.
His feeling hands
probed beyond his own
disenchantment.
And then he became a man.
His great dark eyes
so limpid
instill confidence, assurance.
And his strong hands
are now a sure haven
from where other young birds
get ready
to take their flight…
