QUEM SÃO OS "PALESTINOS"?

Peço desculpas pela longa postagem, mas se você dedicar alguns minutos para lê-la, talvez compreenda a simplicidade dos fatos que os desinformados ou de má-fé insistem em problematizar para confundir.
Quando a ONU votou e aprovou a partição do Mandato da Palestina, governada pelos britânicos, num Estado judeu e noutro Estado árabe, em 29 de novembro de 1947, com 33 votos a favor, 13 contra, 10 abstenções, e um ausente, os judeus aceitaram a partição, mas os árabes não.
Em 30 de novembro, um dia após a votação de partilha da ONU, a Agência Judaica anunciou:
"O tema principal por trás das celebrações espontâneas que estamos testemunhando hoje, é o desejo da nossa comunidade para buscar a paz e sua determinação para alcançar uma cooperação frutífera com os árabes..."
A Proclamação de Independência de Israel, emitida em 14 de maio de 1948, também convidou os árabes à permanecerem em suas casas e se tornarem cidadãos iguais no novo estado:
"No meio de agressão desenfreada, nós ainda fazemos um apelo aos habitantes árabes do Estado de Israel para preservar os caminhos da paz e desempenhar o seu papel no desenvolvimento do Estado, com base na cidadania plena e igual, através de representação em todos os seus órgãos e instituições...Nós estendemos nossa mãos à paz e a boa vizinhança à todos os estados vizinhos e seus povos, e os convidamos a cooperar com a nação judaica independente para o bem comum de todos."

Enquanto isso, os líderes judeus conclamavam os árabes à permanecerem na "Palestina" / Israel e tornarem-se cidadãos de Israel. Na Assembleia da Palestina, em 2 de outubro de 1947, os judeus emitiram este apelo:
"Faremos tudo ao nosso alcance para manter a paz e estabelecer uma lucrativa cooperação para ambos [ judeus e árabes ]. Árabes sabiam que o termo "Palestina" era o sinônimo de "judeu", e por isso eles se sentiram ofendidos.
Mas depois da guerra de 1967, os árabes de repente, "se lembraram" que eram "palestinos."
A ideia pertencia aos especialistas em relações públicas da KGB soviética. O plano da campanha PR e a base ideológica foram brilhantemente preparados e elaborados no Instituto Soviético de Estudos Orientais, cujo diretor era Evgeniy Primakov.

* Por fim, é importante reconhecer que tudo o que consta no texto acima é um fato concreto, mas não podemos também esquecer que, se é verdade que durante a guerra árabes se deslocaram espontaneamente, o número de judeus que foram expulsos dos países árabes onde não havia guerra foi muito superior.

Who are these so-called "Palestinians" really?

As a teacher, I’m sick and tired of the lack of education and basic knowledge when it comes to the false rhetoric and lies surrounding the “poor Palestinian refugees”.
So please, excuse the very long post, but do take a moment to plough through and maybe then you'll get these simple facts straight.
When the UN voted for and approved the partition of the British-ruled Palestine Mandate into a Jewish state and an Arab state on November 29, 1947, with 33 votes in favor, 13 against, 10 abstentions and one absent, the Jews accepted the partition but the Arabs did not.
On November 30, the day after the UN partition vote, the Jewish Agency announced: “The main theme behind the spontaneous celebrations we are witnessing today is our community's desire to seek peace and its determination to achieve fruitful cooperation with the Arabs..."
Israel's Proclamation of Independence, issued May 14,1948, also invited the Arabs to remain in their homes and become equal citizens in the new state:
“In the midst of wanton aggression, we yet call upon the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve the ways of peace and play their part in the development of the State, on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its bodies and institutions... We extend our hand in peace and neighborliness to all the neighboring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all.”
Israel, the Jewish State in Palestine, was born on May 14, 1948, and as the British finally left the country, five Arab armies - Egypt, Syria, Transjordan (later Jordan), Lebanon and Iraq - immediately invaded Israel.
Their intentions were declared by Azzam Pasha, Secretary-General of the Arab League:
"It will be a war of annihilation. It will be a momentous massacre in history that will be talked about like the massacres of the Mongols or the Crusades."
Thousands of Arabs voluntarily left Israel in 1947 – 1949, and most in 1948 on the pretext that they would be able to return as victors after Israel was defeated and wiped off the map (again.)
Most of the men joined the invading Arab armies of Egypt, Syria, Transjordan, Iraq and Lebanon to fight against the re-establishment of the newly independent State of Israel.
These Arabs left Israel of their own free will, and when Israel miraculously won the War of Independence, they found themselves unwanted in the Arab countries they had fled to.
After 1967, in order to further the PLO cause, these Arabs became known as “Palestinian” “refugees” and they are still refugees without any human rights in Lebanon, where they live in squalor in refugee camps, and today still do not have social and civil rights, and have very limited access to public health or educational facilities, Syria, where they are systematically killed by Christian militia and Hezbollah, in Jordan, Egypt and Turkey.
It is important to highlight that all of those Arabs (the so-called “Palestinian refugees”) who left fully anticipated being able to return to their homes after an early Arab victory, as “Palestinian” nationalist Aref el-Aref explained in his history of the 1948 war:
“The Arabs thought they would win in less than the twinkling of an eye and that it would take no more than a day or two from the time the Arab armies crossed the border until all the colonies were conquered and the enemy would throw down his arms and cast himself on their mercy.”
By the end of January 1948, the exodus was so alarming the Palestine Arab Higher Committee asked neighboring Arab countries to refuse visas to these refugees and to seal the borders against them.
Meanwhile, Jewish leaders urged the Arabs to remain in "Palestine"/Israel and become citizens of Israel. The Assembly of Palestine Jewry issued this appeal on October 2, 1947:
“We will do everything in our power to maintain peace, and establish a cooperation gainful to both [Jews and Arabs]. It is now, here and now, from Jerusalem itself, that a call must go out to the Arab nations to join forces with Jewry and the destined Jewish State and work shoulder to shoulder for our common good, for the peace and progress of sovereign equals.”
However, there is an abundance of evidence that proves that the Arabs were encouraged to leave their homes to make way for the invading Arab armies. The U.S. Consul¬General in Haifa, Aubrey Lippincott, wrote on April 22, 1948, for example, that “local mufti¬dominated Arab leaders” were urging “all Arabs to leave the city, and large numbers did so.”
The Economist, a frequent critic of the Zionists, reported on October 2, 1948:
“Of the 62,000 Arabs who formerly lived in Haifa not more than 5,000 or 6,000 remained. Various factors influenced their decision to seek safety in flight. There is but little doubt that the most potent of the factors were the announcements made over the air by the Higher Arab Executive, urging the Arabs to quit....It was clearly intimated that those Arabs who remained in Haifa and accepted Jewish protection would be regarded as renegades.”
Time's report of the battle for Haifa (May 3, 1948) was similar: “The mass evacuation, prompted partly by fear, partly by orders of Arab leaders, left the Arab quarter of Haifa a ghost city... By withdrawing Arab workers their leaders hoped to paralyze Haifa.”
The Six Day War occurred against the background of continuing Arab world hostility to the State of Israel, which had begun with the War of Independence. In that war, the newly created state of Israel had defeated the Arab armies that had invaded it, and expanded its territory.
In the Six Day War, Israel occupied the Sinai Peninsula, the Gaza Strip, Judea and Samaria, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.
Officially, no Arab country recognized the armistice lines of 1949 as international borders, and no Arab country recognized Israel, diplomatically.
Israel, according to Arab rhetoric, had no right to exist, and was referred to as "The Zionist entity."
Defeating and destroying Israel and "reversing the results of 1948" became central goals of Arab political rhetoric. Prestige and leadership of the Arab world were based on leadership in confrontation of Israel.
This then is the truth: Israel has always wanted to live in peace with her Arab citizens and neighbours. The Arabs have not.
The Arabs have always attacked Israel, and B”H Israel has always won.
Israel has always given back “land for peace” yet the Arabs have never upheld their side of the deal, i.e. peace and the recognition of the State of Israel.
To be extra clear, before the creation of Israel, it was actually the Jews who were referred to as Palestinians, not the Arabs.
In fact Arabs did not accept being called “Palestinians” because they didn't want to be associated with Jews or with the British Mandate for Palestine:
“The Arabs who lived in the region became “Palestinians” only after the war of 1967. Before that, Judea and Samaria, together with Jerusalem, were occupied by Jordan, and Gaza was occupied by Egypt — but not a single arab thought of himself as a “Palestinian”. Moreover, to call an Arab a “Palestinian” would mean to insult him. “We are not Jews, we are Arabs”, they used to say in answer.”
“Even Yasser Arafat, the most famous “Palestinian” and leader of the P.L.O, is not native to so-called “Palestine”. He called himself a “Palestinian refugee” but spoke Arabic with an Egyptian accent. He was born in 1929 in Cairo, Egypt. He served in the Egyptian army, studied in the University of Cairo, and lived in Cairo until 1956. Arafat’s full name was Mohammed Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini.”
His last name, Al-Husseini, is a clear indication that his ancestry is from the Jordanian region.

The Israel Electric Company´s original name was the PALESTINE ELECTRIC COMPANY
There was the PALESTINE FOUNDATION FUND and
the PALESTINE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
All these were JEWISH ORGANISATIONS, organised and run by JEWS.
In America, the Anthem of the Zionist youngsters sang, “PALESTINE, MY PALESTINE”, “PALESTINE SCOUT SONG” and “PALESTINE SPRING SONG”.
Arabs knew that the term “Palestinian” is the synonym of a “Jew”, that is why they felt offended.
But after the war of 1967 the Arabs suddenly “recalled” they were “Palestinians”.
The idea belonged to the PR experts of the Soviet KGB. The plan of the PR campaign and the ideological base were brilliantly prepared and elaborated in the Soviet Institute of Oriental Studies whose director was Evgeniy Primakov. Primakov, the professional Intelligence officer, spoke Arabic very well and had been working for many years in different Arabic countries under the “cover” of a journalist of the official Communist Party newspaper “Pravda”. All the media of the Soviet satellite countries immediately wept over the “poor Palestinians whose land was stolen by the cruel Jews”.
This idea about the “poor Palestinians” was immediately supported by the leftist media in the West.
After 3 years of the massive PR campaign, with the media crying over the “poor Palestinians”, Egyptian-born Yasser Arafat rendered passionate speeches in European universities, in the United Nations Assemblies and at the political meetings about how he, “a native Palestinian”, was robbed and humiliated by the “Khazar Jews”.
The appeared-from-nowhere “Palestinian people” was firmly rooted in the minds of people in Western Europe. The fastness with which it all happened was also due to the fact that it was against the Jews; if the Soviets and Arabs had tried this trick with, let’s say, Spaniards and tried to tell the world the stories about how “the cruel Spaniards robbed the native Andaluces of their land”, all the world would be laughing. But the Jews… Europeans have never been “in love” with them, and readily accepted the story about the “poor Palestinian people” who were driven from their land “by the Jews”.
So please, get it right and remember folks, education is key.

Esses "palestinos" ainda são refugiados, sem quaisquer direitos humanos no Líbano, onde vivem na miséria em campos de refugiados, e hoje ainda não têm direitos sociais ou direitos civis, e têm um acesso muito limitado à saúde pública ou instalações educacionais, a Síria, onde são sistematicamente mortos por milícias cristãs e Hezbollah, na Jordânia, Egito e Turquia.
É importante ressaltar também que todos esses árabes (os chamados "refugiados palestinos") deixaram Israel, antecipando voltarem para suas casas, depois de uma rápida vitória árabe, como esperavam par serem considerados nacionalistas "palestinos." Explicou Aref el-Aref em sua história da guerra de 1948:
"Os árabes pensavam que iriam ganhar em um piscar de olhos e que não iriam demorar mais de um dia ou dois à partir do momento em que os exércitos árabes cruzassem a fronteira, até que todas as colônias fossem conquistadas e os inimigos jogassem seus braços para baixo, lançando-os sobre a sua misericórdia."
Até o final de janeiro de 1948, o êxodo era tão alarmante, que o Alto Comitê Árabe Palestino pediu aos países árabes vizinhos para recusarem os vistos para estes refugiados e selarem suas fronteiras contra eles.
Enquanto isso, os líderes judeus conclamavam os árabes à permanecerem na "Palestina" / Israel e tornarem-se cidadãos de Israel. Na Assembleia da Palestina, em 2 de outubro de 1947, os judeus emitiram este apelo:
"Faremos tudo ao nosso alcance para manter a paz e estabelecer uma lucrativa cooperação para ambos [ judeus e árabes ]. E agora, aqui e agora, da própria Jerusalém, faço uma chamada às nações árabes para unirem suas forças com o judaísmo, para o nosso bem comum, para a paz e progresso, em igualdade e soberania."
No entanto, há uma abundância de evidências que provam que os árabes foram encorajados à deixarem suas casas para abrirem caminhos para os exércitos árabes invasores.
O Cônsul Geral dos EUA em Haifa, Aubrey Lippincott, escreveu em 22 de Abril de 1948, por exemplo, que:

The Economist, um crítico frequente dos sionistas, informou em 02 de outubro de 1948:

Há pouca dúvida de que o mais potente dos fatores foram os anúncios feitos pelo ar pelo Superior Executivo árabe, incitando os árabes à sairem...Foi claramente dado à entender que os árabes que aceitassem permanecer em Haifa, tendo a proteção judaica, seriam considerados como renegados."
O relatório da batalha em Haifa (3 de Maio, 1948), da Time, foi semelhante:
"A evacuação em massa, levada, em parte, pelo medo, em parte por ordens de líderes árabes, deixaram o bairro árabe de Haifa uma cidade fantasma .... Ao retirar os trabalhadores árabes seus líderes esperavam paralisar Haifa."
A Guerra dos Seis Dias ocorreu no contexto de contínua hostilidade do mundo árabe ao Estado de Israel, que havia começado com a Guerra da Independência. Nessa guerra, o estado recém-criado de Israel derrotou os exércitos árabes que o tinham invadido e expandiu seu território.
Na mesma Guerra dos Seis Dias, Israel ocupou a Península do Sinai, a Faixa de Gaza, Judéia e Samaria, Jerusalém e as Colinas de Golã.
Oficialmente, nenhum país árabe reconheceu as linhas do armistício de 1949 como fronteiras internacionais, e nenhum país árabe reconheceu Israel, diplomaticamente.
Israel, e de acordo com a retórica árabe, não tinha o direito de existir, e foi referida como "a entidade sionista."
Derrotar e destruir Israel e "inverter os resultados de 1948" tornaram-se os objetivos centrais da retórica política árabe. Prestígio e liderança do mundo árabe foram baseados em liderança no confronto de Israel.
Isso, então, é a verdade:

Os árabes não aceitaram serem chamados de "palestinos" porque eles não queriam ser associados com os judeus ou com o Mandato Britânico da Palestina:
Os árabes que viviam na região tornaram-se "palestinos" só depois da guerra de 1967. Antes disso, a Judéia e Samaria, junto com Jerusalém, foram ocupadas pela Jordânia, e Gaza foi ocupada pelo Egito - mas nenhum único árabe se assumiu "palestino." Além disso, chamar um árabe de "Palestino" significaria insultá-lo.

Seu último nome, Al-Husseini, é uma clara indicação de que sua ascendência é da região da Jordânia.
"Até o final dos anos 60 a palavra "Palestina" foi comumente, por unanimidade e globalmente associado com os judeus.
O mundo sabia: a Palestina é apenas outro nome para Israel (ou Judéia), como Kemet era apenas outro nome para o Egito. E eles tinham muito boas razões para dizer isso.

*Nos Estados Unidos, o Hino dos jovens sionistas era cantado: "PALESTINA, MINHA PALESTINA", "PALESTINA SCOUT SONG" e "PALESTINA DA CANÇÃO DA MOLA".
Árabes sabiam que o termo "Palestina" era o sinônimo de "judeu", e por isso eles se sentiram ofendidos.
Mas depois da guerra de 1967, os árabes de repente, "se lembraram" que eram "palestinos."
A ideia pertencia aos especialistas em relações públicas da KGB soviética. O plano da campanha PR e a base ideológica foram brilhantemente preparados e elaborados no Instituto Soviético de Estudos Orientais, cujo diretor era Evgeniy Primakov.
Primakov, o oficial de inteligência profissional, falava árabe muito bem e tinha trabalhado por muitos anos em países árabes diferentes sob a o disfarce de um jornalista do jornal oficial do Partido Comunista "Pravda."
Todos os meios de comunicação dos países satélites da União Soviética imediatamente choraram sobre os "pobres palestinos," cuja terra foi roubada pelos "cruéis judeus". Esta ideia sobre os "pobres palestinos" foi imediatamente apoiada pelos meios de comunicação de esquerda no Ocidente.

Mas com os judeus isso seria diferente, afinal de contas, os europeus nunca amaram os judeus com suas Cruzadas, inquisições e Holocausto. Portanto, isso foi prontamente aceito pela história, dando origem ao "pobre povo palestino" que foi expulso de suas terras pelos "terríveis e famigerados judeus."
* Curioso é notar que, em 1967 a tal "palestina ocupada", assim, por mera coincidência, também passou a incluir Gaza e a Judéia e Samaria.
* Tão curioso quanto o fato acima, é que o termo palestina foi criado pelos romanos, justamente para tirar o vínculo dos judeus com a terra. É isso mesmo, os árabes nunca usaram esta denominação nem antes da Idade Média, e nem depois, o que só veio a ocorrer após a década de 1960.
* Por fim, é importante reconhecer que tudo o que consta no texto acima é um fato concreto, mas não podemos também esquecer que, se é verdade que durante a guerra árabes se deslocaram espontaneamente, o número de judeus que foram expulsos dos países árabes onde não havia guerra foi muito superior.

Who are these so-called "Palestinians" really?

As a teacher, I’m sick and tired of the lack of education and basic knowledge when it comes to the false rhetoric and lies surrounding the “poor Palestinian refugees”.
So please, excuse the very long post, but do take a moment to plough through and maybe then you'll get these simple facts straight.
When the UN voted for and approved the partition of the British-ruled Palestine Mandate into a Jewish state and an Arab state on November 29, 1947, with 33 votes in favor, 13 against, 10 abstentions and one absent, the Jews accepted the partition but the Arabs did not.
On November 30, the day after the UN partition vote, the Jewish Agency announced: “The main theme behind the spontaneous celebrations we are witnessing today is our community's desire to seek peace and its determination to achieve fruitful cooperation with the Arabs..."
Israel's Proclamation of Independence, issued May 14,1948, also invited the Arabs to remain in their homes and become equal citizens in the new state:
“In the midst of wanton aggression, we yet call upon the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve the ways of peace and play their part in the development of the State, on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its bodies and institutions... We extend our hand in peace and neighborliness to all the neighboring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all.”
Israel, the Jewish State in Palestine, was born on May 14, 1948, and as the British finally left the country, five Arab armies - Egypt, Syria, Transjordan (later Jordan), Lebanon and Iraq - immediately invaded Israel.
Their intentions were declared by Azzam Pasha, Secretary-General of the Arab League:
"It will be a war of annihilation. It will be a momentous massacre in history that will be talked about like the massacres of the Mongols or the Crusades."
Thousands of Arabs voluntarily left Israel in 1947 – 1949, and most in 1948 on the pretext that they would be able to return as victors after Israel was defeated and wiped off the map (again.)
Most of the men joined the invading Arab armies of Egypt, Syria, Transjordan, Iraq and Lebanon to fight against the re-establishment of the newly independent State of Israel.
These Arabs left Israel of their own free will, and when Israel miraculously won the War of Independence, they found themselves unwanted in the Arab countries they had fled to.
After 1967, in order to further the PLO cause, these Arabs became known as “Palestinian” “refugees” and they are still refugees without any human rights in Lebanon, where they live in squalor in refugee camps, and today still do not have social and civil rights, and have very limited access to public health or educational facilities, Syria, where they are systematically killed by Christian militia and Hezbollah, in Jordan, Egypt and Turkey.
It is important to highlight that all of those Arabs (the so-called “Palestinian refugees”) who left fully anticipated being able to return to their homes after an early Arab victory, as “Palestinian” nationalist Aref el-Aref explained in his history of the 1948 war:
“The Arabs thought they would win in less than the twinkling of an eye and that it would take no more than a day or two from the time the Arab armies crossed the border until all the colonies were conquered and the enemy would throw down his arms and cast himself on their mercy.”
By the end of January 1948, the exodus was so alarming the Palestine Arab Higher Committee asked neighboring Arab countries to refuse visas to these refugees and to seal the borders against them.
Meanwhile, Jewish leaders urged the Arabs to remain in "Palestine"/Israel and become citizens of Israel. The Assembly of Palestine Jewry issued this appeal on October 2, 1947:
“We will do everything in our power to maintain peace, and establish a cooperation gainful to both [Jews and Arabs]. It is now, here and now, from Jerusalem itself, that a call must go out to the Arab nations to join forces with Jewry and the destined Jewish State and work shoulder to shoulder for our common good, for the peace and progress of sovereign equals.”
However, there is an abundance of evidence that proves that the Arabs were encouraged to leave their homes to make way for the invading Arab armies. The U.S. Consul¬General in Haifa, Aubrey Lippincott, wrote on April 22, 1948, for example, that “local mufti¬dominated Arab leaders” were urging “all Arabs to leave the city, and large numbers did so.”
The Economist, a frequent critic of the Zionists, reported on October 2, 1948:
“Of the 62,000 Arabs who formerly lived in Haifa not more than 5,000 or 6,000 remained. Various factors influenced their decision to seek safety in flight. There is but little doubt that the most potent of the factors were the announcements made over the air by the Higher Arab Executive, urging the Arabs to quit....It was clearly intimated that those Arabs who remained in Haifa and accepted Jewish protection would be regarded as renegades.”
Time's report of the battle for Haifa (May 3, 1948) was similar: “The mass evacuation, prompted partly by fear, partly by orders of Arab leaders, left the Arab quarter of Haifa a ghost city... By withdrawing Arab workers their leaders hoped to paralyze Haifa.”
The Six Day War occurred against the background of continuing Arab world hostility to the State of Israel, which had begun with the War of Independence. In that war, the newly created state of Israel had defeated the Arab armies that had invaded it, and expanded its territory.
In the Six Day War, Israel occupied the Sinai Peninsula, the Gaza Strip, Judea and Samaria, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.
Officially, no Arab country recognized the armistice lines of 1949 as international borders, and no Arab country recognized Israel, diplomatically.
Israel, according to Arab rhetoric, had no right to exist, and was referred to as "The Zionist entity."
Defeating and destroying Israel and "reversing the results of 1948" became central goals of Arab political rhetoric. Prestige and leadership of the Arab world were based on leadership in confrontation of Israel.
This then is the truth: Israel has always wanted to live in peace with her Arab citizens and neighbours. The Arabs have not.
The Arabs have always attacked Israel, and B”H Israel has always won.
Israel has always given back “land for peace” yet the Arabs have never upheld their side of the deal, i.e. peace and the recognition of the State of Israel.
To be extra clear, before the creation of Israel, it was actually the Jews who were referred to as Palestinians, not the Arabs.
In fact Arabs did not accept being called “Palestinians” because they didn't want to be associated with Jews or with the British Mandate for Palestine:
“The Arabs who lived in the region became “Palestinians” only after the war of 1967. Before that, Judea and Samaria, together with Jerusalem, were occupied by Jordan, and Gaza was occupied by Egypt — but not a single arab thought of himself as a “Palestinian”. Moreover, to call an Arab a “Palestinian” would mean to insult him. “We are not Jews, we are Arabs”, they used to say in answer.”
“Even Yasser Arafat, the most famous “Palestinian” and leader of the P.L.O, is not native to so-called “Palestine”. He called himself a “Palestinian refugee” but spoke Arabic with an Egyptian accent. He was born in 1929 in Cairo, Egypt. He served in the Egyptian army, studied in the University of Cairo, and lived in Cairo until 1956. The Israel Electric Company´s original name was the PALESTINE ELECTRIC COMPANY
There was the PALESTINE FOUNDATION FUND and
the PALESTINE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
All these were JEWISH ORGANISATIONS, organised and run by JEWS.
In America, the Anthem of the Zionist youngsters sang, “PALESTINE, MY PALESTINE”, “PALESTINE SCOUT SONG” and “PALESTINE SPRING SONG”.
Arabs knew that the term “Palestinian” is the synonym of a “Jew”, that is why they felt offended.
But after the war of 1967 the Arabs suddenly “recalled” they were “Palestinians”.
The idea belonged to the PR experts of the Soviet KGB. The plan of the PR campaign and the ideological base were brilliantly prepared and elaborated in the Soviet Institute of Oriental Studies whose director was Evgeniy Primakov. Primakov, the professional Intelligence officer, spoke Arabic very well and had been working for many years in different Arabic countries under the “cover” of a journalist of the official Communist Party newspaper “Pravda”. All the media of the Soviet satellite countries immediately wept over the “poor Palestinians whose land was stolen by the cruel Jews”.
This idea about the “poor Palestinians” was immediately supported by the leftist media in the West.
After 3 years of the massive PR campaign, with the media crying over the “poor Palestinians”, Egyptian-born Yasser Arafat rendered passionate speeches in European universities, in the United Nations Assemblies and at the political meetings about how he, “a native Palestinian”, was robbed and humiliated by the “Khazar Jews”.
The appeared-from-nowhere “Palestinian people” was firmly rooted in the minds of people in Western Europe. The fastness with which it all happened was also due to the fact that it was against the Jews; if the Soviets and Arabs had tried this trick with, let’s say, Spaniards and tried to tell the world the stories about how “the cruel Spaniards robbed the native Andaluces of their land”, all the world would be laughing. But the Jews… Europeans have never been “in love” with them, and readily accepted the story about the “poor Palestinian people” who were driven from their land “by the Jews”.
So please, get it right and remember folks, education is key.
