Discussion Question: What is the difference between language learning and language acquisition?

Sinopse
What is the difference between language learning and language acquisition? Learning and acquiring a language are processes that both require that an individual be exposed to language. This exposition is the input of the processes. There are many theories that explain these processes. However, it is essential to discriminate the fact that researches on this area show that acquiring a second language consists of different elements compared to first language acquisition, mainly considering the “average order of acquisition of grammatical morphemes for English as a second language [for] children and adults” (KRASHEN, 2009: 13).
