BRAVERY

BRAVERY / 20 mar 04

Thou camest to see me... courageous, proud

Of thy femininity: to show how much

I had to lose, if I persisted in such

Oblivion to the charm thou couldst uncloud...

Because thy face, thy hair so much spangled:

It was thy soul that through thy sight arrived,

It was the smile for which I senseless dived,

It was the way thy nostrils had trembled...

Any man, after seeing thou that night

Would fall in love, under the might

Of the luster sprouting from thy eyes...

And so fell I, astounded for the vision,

Besieging me like that, as a collision

Of two stars would blaze across the skies!
