A BIT OF PHILOSOPHY
(First published at DCS NEWS, a Number One Schools’ journal)
What is the consistency of life? It seems soft! Not just its consistency but the real consistency of the human being is very soft. How insecure we are! It is amazing and astonishing. In a matter of seconds we can lose all our excitement for life. Man fears himself. He does not know his inner self and is scared of life and his own being.
Life just itself does not make any sense. It is empty. We need something to fulfill our lives.
“Useless, useless,” said the philosopher. “It is all useless.” If we are not close to God, waiting for His guidance to lead our lives, life loses its meaning. Man was made to worship and adore God, to live a life of permanent and deep relationship with Him. But man left God’s ways and turned his back on Him. After this, a barrier was built between man and God. But God with His endless love sent His only son to die for us on the cross of Calvary and now through His sacrifice we can have free access to God’s presence. Nothing that Jesus did broke with the Jewish laws and precepts. He followed all of them.
When I try to find a reason for our coming to this place, I cannot find any, except God’s purposes of creating man to worship and praise Him and to live a life of love and peace with Him. As I wrote before, man was created to have a perfect relationship of complete love with God.
Nowadays man wants to become self-sufficient and because of little technological discoveries and some advances in many fields of different sciences, man has himself as a little God. But if we compare all these discoveries and advances to God’s creation and power, they become nothing.
Today mankind does not accept God’s love. Humanity does not accept its dependency on God and does not even accept and believe in His existence, either. Is not that sad?
Nevertheless, God, with His intense love, keeps His arms open wide to all of those who want to receive Him as the Lord and Savior of humanity, earth and of their own lives.
