Salvation
"Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
(Philippians 2:12)
We're all in need of salvation.
Standing still in the middle of the abyss
We don't know who we are anymore.
Always wanting to be cool or fashionable to other people's eyes,
Turning our being into something else by sickly osmosis ties,
We're incapable of judging by ourselves.
Corrupted by the lowest earthly passions,
The demons who we struggle to exorcise
Dwelling within and draining our mind,
We let ourselves descend to Hell.
There, in the depths, we feel alive
Our human flesh drowned in desire
Our soul baptized by fire.
So alive, but also so deadly empty inside...
What are we living for?
