In Silence

I saw you driving by

I thought I was imagining –

the scene will remain vivid in my memory.

I was standing on the sidewalk, unnoticed,

suffering in silence;

the wound doesn’t seem to close

my heart is aching to be with yours –

and yet I’m determined to move on.

I took the long way home, disappointed,

crying in silence;

the tears once again appear

but my feeling doesn’t want to disappear –

and yet I’m still craving for you my dear.

I hope I could deal with your presence

better than your absence,

promising to myself in silence.
