Something Extraordinary

Cars were passing me by on this crowded traffic light

driving faster and faster as we speak,

people were going in different directions rushing to get home.

They don't have the time to pay attention to anything.

It was around six o’clock in the evening,

when something extraordinary caught my eyes,

I looked up in the sky and I could see clearly

that the sunset had a distinct color

that I've never seen before,

not even the greatest painter on this earth

can create such a portrait.

The Creator and His creation,

caught my eyes without distraction.

I could feel His eyes watching me,

His glory and His love growing inside of me

unknowingly… and yet I believe He exists.

As I walk through the streets alone,

watching this image disappearing very slowly

and a moment later it was gone.

As the day turns into night,

I could feel somebody’s arms holding me tight,

with all His strength, with all His might.

It is amazing the passion He has for us,

even though we don't deserve it.

The gentle touch of different colors coming together as one,

the magic hands reaching out to the stars and the sun,

at last it comes all together into a beautiful landscape

an untouched picture into an endless flame.

The rainbow that shines after a cold summer rain

to cool off the warm air of the shining day,

the sunset that hides behind a gray shadow of the night,

the infinite number of stars that twinkle with the moonlight.

So when something extraordinary happens

I could feel His eyes watching me,

His glory and His love growing inside of me

unknowingly… and yet I believe He exists.
