NUDE INNOCENCE
If I only could love you instead
Cherish our life as we grow old,
I´d face the sour time, the years ahead,
With the strength that I long ago sold.
If only you could respect me more,
Show some tenderness, as you live me by,
For the wounds that in my flesh still sore,
Life could just be less of a lie...
But the road cries, knowing the will
That you once wrote on the cold stones
And my steps walk out of dispair...
Nude innocence the guilt won´t kill,
Bent over winds that break my bones,
If only life could be less... unfair!
If I only could love you instead
Cherish our life as we grow old,
I´d face the sour time, the years ahead,
With the strength that I long ago sold.
If only you could respect me more,
Show some tenderness, as you live me by,
For the wounds that in my flesh still sore,
Life could just be less of a lie...
But the road cries, knowing the will
That you once wrote on the cold stones
And my steps walk out of dispair...
Nude innocence the guilt won´t kill,
Bent over winds that break my bones,
If only life could be less... unfair!
