I would help with any of your problems

I would smile for whatever you were solving

I would be the cure for each of your toxins

I would dream about you every night

I would buy all your fights

I would take you more often to the seaside

I would wipe every tear you cried

I would hug you when you feel afraid

I would harvest each petunia from the garden

I would wait for a love that was delayed

And the flame would be one more time ardent

But you would not do the same

You know that is why I am gone
