If He Only Knew...

I really like him, not because of his appearance

but his companionship that I miss every time he’s away,

it’s a feeling I can’t quite explain.

If he only knew...

I could say I love him, not because of his wealth

but his intelligence that I admire in each conversation,

maybe he thinks my feelings are a sudden passion that goes away

but my life without him I can’t think straight.

If he only knew...

I thought I’ve finally found someone –

someone that I could love, share my secrets with,

loving each other unconditionally

without feeling ashamed of what other people might think.
