Mea culpa...

Somebody told me the other day that I have produced 210 poems over the last 3 months or so just because I am in love again with someone special. They also “accused” me that poets should not be dependent on being in love to get inspiration for writing poems. In order for me to defend myself from such “accusations”, I must say that not all my poems are related to being in love again with somebody really special, who has touched my mind, soul, heart and body so much. Much of what I have written this year has also to do with nature, friendship, things I observe all around me and which inspire me to write poems, sonnets or simple phrases of reflection, meditation, thoughts of my own and observations on people who live around me and for some unknown reason, ran into my life. So, this is my ablative case of Latin “mea culpa” for what some friends and friend teachers of mine have "accused me of". Poets should be prepared to write about anything that calls their attention and touches their romantic hearts, whenever they see something worth writing about for their readers to enjoy or simply “not enjoy”. Enough said!
