Soldier’s Last Torment

When I was young,

I used to do everything to not be noticed.

I mean,

I would have make-up on,

eye drops and a conscious walking paranoia,

all the time.

Time has changed,

today I am what I am.

There’s nothing to hide.

Nothing to see.

My eyes burn, my hands’ shake.

When you write just about right

Things ain’t tough like that

They tell me I’m not relevant

Anymore!

I mean, that’s huge!

And that star never dies

In case she should one day

Have stopped for a check-up.

Try to be strong darling,

It’s Finished!
