***Cumpre fazer a seguinte observação: tentar escrever poemas em outros idiomas é um exercício que aprecio muito fazer. Tentar, em uma releitura e adaptação, colocar em idioma estrangeiro textos originalmente escritos em Língua Portuguesa é outro exercício encantador. Trata-se de uma espécie de laboratório e faço questão de frisar a palavra EXERCÍCIO.

Tenho exercitado, aqui mesmo, neste site estas duas atividades e as coloco à disposição de conhecedores de idiomas estrangeiros, tanto de forma particular, quanto partilhando o produto da atividade com todos os colegas do Recanto das Letras. That day I'm waiting for will arrive, for sure

I will wear a gold cufflinks pair

And one of the finest cambric shirts with my dark blue suit

I will put on a black belt, a golden pin and a carnation on my lapel

My tie already undone at this magic moment _ I may assure _

There will be in my body loose the node of the embrace

(After drinking some wine in a crystal glass

She’d have left the red of her lips on my handkerchief,)

The lighter into my breast-pocket waiting to light her cigarettes

The smell, a miscellaneous nicotine and colony, comes to my face

Under the lampshade, a psalm is shining at the night table

Closer to unfinished stanzas of a sonnet

She had gone away. It’s time to dream

A pillow tightly embraced to my chest between sheets and the scent of jasmine

At this very moment, from the picture hanging on the wall, she looks at me

Silently she says

_ I do not love thee!
