Para Elizabeth Bishop - série três poemas de amor - II (2004)
Blurred is the vision
blind is the eye
(oh, my)
thy sun is there as yet to shine
_ Oh, son of mine!
A cold winter we had of it
Mary Hellen'd just left us both
(baby's crying it's noon and)
Thine voice unheard then
it was voice unheard,
soil, desert, pomme de terre
_ sandy water and sand.
A cold winter we had of it
Had Mary Hellen just cried for us?
Thy sun is there as yet to shine
Oh, son of mine,
had Mary Hellen crued for us?
“t'was april, it was may...?”
There shouldn't have been sorrow!
There shouldn't have been pain!
Sunny day we'd have dragged the water from the ceiling above our
Heads
We'd found means for the beans
monsieur le concierge laissé quelque pomme de terre pour le
soirée
(table à cing s'il vous plaît)
and a coup of water we might have found: it's no doubt.
…
a cold winter we had of it
thy sun is there as yet to shine
_ Oh, son of mine,
had Mary Hellen just cried for us?
(baby's crying it's noon some cloth is hanging upon the wall)
There shouldn't have been sorrow!
There shouldn't have been pain!
And she the flower to come along and cry
and cry _ for the blind!
(Oh, my)
_ sorrows get ahold of me at this time and I decided to find a place
around to weep _
…
a cold winter we had of it
Had we found water upon the ceiling and dragged it
had we found peace of mind, baby's crying, and if we had an aerial!
Thine sun is there as yet to shine
_ Oh, son of mine!
…
“We shall never trust Mary Hellen again! _ said you”
“I said, wait until we see the next one turn!”
“Shall we find water to dragg off this wall then?
Only then we must rest, and ease, and say
'goodnight Mary Hellen, hard coming we had of it
and it's enough for us such journey to no end!'”
“You added by the time 'goodbye Mary Hellen, but don't cry!
(thine sun is there as yet to shine!)'”
I said 'good bye!'”
Oh, sun of mine
Blurred is the vision,
blind is the eye!
(Oh, my)
'thy sun is there as yet to shine'
_ Oh son of mine!
