Fighting against the logic

Trying to stay alive

Waking up at five

Drifting, waiting to dive

Crying to digest the project

Walking in the middle of the line

Wanting to wake up at nine

Drifting, waiting for a sign

Mystifying the grace of the chaotic

They think they're above

Watching the fall of the periodic

Drifting, just come and shove

They say I should be patriotic

While their lives are robotic

I don't even need to feel guilty

Drifting, sinking quickly

Wanting to pay taxes is illogical

They are the puppets of this town

It is far from optional

Drifting, I watch them drown
