Decisions

I’ve made decisions that I regret,

I’ve taken my destiny into my own two hands.

I’ve tried to be reasonable,

and yet I can’t forgive myself.

I’m the only one,

who can decide to forgive and to forget,

to open new doors and to close old ones.

Some of the decisions I should have listened,

some of the headaches I could have avoided,

and with humbleness I’ve learned my lesson.

I’ve said terrible things without thinking,

I’ve hurt feelings without realizing,

and yet I can’t forgive myself.

Still,

I’m the only one,

who can decide to forgive and to forget,

to open new doors and to close old ones.
