We always learn from our time catechism that God is Trinitarian, ie Creator Father, the Son Jesus Christ, Redeemer and Sanctifier Holy Spirit.
Our image of the child about God the Father would be a "Velinho Barbas White"; the image of Jesus was imprinted on the Shroud. And the Holy Spirit? That "guy" is? PE.Virgilio says, SSP, that "... the Spirit is love: one that existing between the Father and the Son, which involves the whole church, each of us and all creation. And since no one can love shooting, we should seek other ways to portray the Holy Spirit: the way of worship, love and faith "(cf.folheto The Sunday de15.05.2005, pg.4).
We intuit the Holy Spirit as that fiery energy, that fire of God's love that changes everything; that drives us forward, to evangelize, to radiate light, joy and peace to the brethren in the faith and all that surrounds us. It is the fire of LOVE!.In baptism we receive the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Intelligence (or understanding), counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and respect ("fear") to God.
By Wisdom God gives us discernment to separate good from evil; gives us a free heart to know and practice their palavera; by intelligence or understanding God enables us to develop ourselves intellectually as human and social being and put our gifts to serve the community; God empowered by the board forever in utter positive words that build to bring peace to those around us; the fortress, the name says, God gives us strength to face the struggles of daily life, strengthen us against the snares of Satan; (see the example of the saints and martyrs of the church); piety learn to be loving the things of God and neighbor; and finally RESPECT everything that comes from God; respect for nature, respect for all that he has; and gives us the awareness that God is God and we are the children of that infinitely loving and merciful God.
Except that, in this crazy rush for material values, this unbridled frenzy in search of money; this cut-throat competition, in which our society lives, it becomes very difficult for people to feel the action of the Holy Spirit in their lives. To Him there, it is imperative heart be at peace with himself. You need to quiet the soul, bring it with her body in homeostatic balance.
Unfortunately, people live robotic, outside themselves; consciously or unconsciously are facing transitory values, for values only of this world, according to the daily bombardment that the media imposes on them.Other pray, pray and nothing can!. Why? Given this maddening rush of modern society, which generates a deleterious stress not only for the physical as well as mental, emotional and especially spiritual. People do not have peace in your heart! For that the Holy Spirit does not work in this heart and therefore do not feel the beneficial and peaceful action that he produces. To tune the frequencies of the Holy Spirit, it is imperative to be minimal silence. Then the stilled mind can TUNE the same vibrational wave Him.
In the Gospel of John, chapter 20, verses 21-23, we read: "Jesus said to them again," Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, so I send you. " Having spoken this, he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. The sins of those you forgive will be forgiven. The sins of those who you do not forgive will not be forgiven. "Note that Jesus always welcomes the disciples with peace, saying "peace be with you." He says this several times. Why? Because the heart has to be in peace and mind so that it is open to the Holy Spirit of God.
The Feast of Pentecost we celebrate the day 12.06.2011, Sunday, means 50 days after Easter, according to Catholic Christian liturgy. In the Old Testament was a harvest feast.Symbols of the Holy Spirit are: water, the anointing, the fire, the cloud and the light, the seal, hand, finger and dove.As the subject is too long, just talk about water and fire. Says the Catechism of the Catholic Church, canon 694: "The symbolism of water is significant action of the Holy Spirit in Baptism, since after the invocation of the Holy Spirit it becomes the efficacious sacramental sign of new birth ...""The fire. While water signifies birth and the fruitfulness of life given in the Holy Spirit, fire symbolizes the transforming energy of the acts of the Holy Spirit. " (Cf. CCC, Publisher Loyola, pgs. 200,201)
In short, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ, or the Spirit of God himself, which continues to guide the Church of Christ in pilgrimage on this earth. Without your light, your energy, we Christians die in the first "breeze" of our tribulations. It is given to us in the Sacrament of Baptism, by God himself.
Some people lock themselves in the soul safe. In others, is hibernating and never leave this state. You need to be in a "state of grace" that He strengthen us and always make a home in our heart and soul!Come Holy Spirit! And renew the face of the earth! Amen, amen, amen!
