Cleaning Materials in Context

Spring is here, and it's the perfect time for a deep cleaning at home. With the right cleaning materials (materiais de limpeza), the process becomes much easier and even enjoyable. Today, we'll go through every room using different products and tools to freshen up the house.

We start with a broom (vassoura) and a dustpan (pá de lixo) to sweep the floors. In the corners, we use a duster (espanador) to remove cobwebs and accumulated dust. After sweeping, we mop the floor with a mop (rodo com pano) and a bucket (balde) filled with floor cleaner (limpador de piso).

In the kitchen, we use a sponge (esponja) and dish soap (detergente) to scrub the sink and counters. For greasy areas, a strong degreaser (desengordurante) does the trick. Stainless steel appliances are wiped down with a microfiber cloth (pano de microfibra) and a bit of multi-surface cleaner (limpador multiuso).

The bathroom needs special attention. We wear rubber gloves (luvas de borracha) and apply toilet cleaner (limpador de vaso sanitário) inside the toilet bowl. We scrub it with a toilet brush (escova sanitária). The mirrors and glass get a shine with glass cleaner (limpa-vidros) and a dry cloth (pano seco).

In the bedrooms, we vacuum the carpet with a vacuum cleaner (aspirador de pó) and change the bed linens. Wooden furniture is cleaned using furniture polish (lustra-móveis) and a soft cloth (pano macio).

To finish, we spray air freshener (purificador de ar) in every room, leaving the house smelling clean and fresh. Organizing and cleaning with the proper materials makes all the difference.
