O tempo passou como um raio e por longos anos dele não tomou conhecimento. Mas de repente vislumbrou o rosto no espelho e descobriu as marcas de sua presença.
Espantou-se com a imagem refletida olhando-o com uma expressão de assombro desmedido. Estava só com o estranho reflexo que relutava reconhecer como seu. O que acontecera? Que marcas eram essas no rosto? Qual o motivo do olhar opaco e quase sem brilho? E os cabelos? Qual a razão da cor prateada nos seus ralos fios?
