Stars in the Night
You know, there's all kinds of stars. I say that if the eyes are the windows of the soul, then the stars are the windows of the spirit. An indigene legend says that the stars are holes made by birds trying to avoid capture by flying to the moon. The stars can be anything. It just depends of who is watching them. For a scientist, they're just liquid hydrogen spheres, a little hell amongst absolute zero. For a widow, they may represent your deceased beloved. For explorers, they're the north of their lives. For a couple of lovers, they represent all your lineage. For a old man, they may be a symbol of good old times. There are so many, one for each person in this world, and there's a lot left yet. They may be the guard angel of each person. For some of us, a star is all we need to survive. To others, they mean the harbinger of our end in this world. They may be hope, the announcers of a new day that's gonna start. A new future, just waiting to be seen. There's all kinds of stars. There are those that shine under the light of the spotlights aiming the red carpet. There are those that shine on your dad's eyes, while they play with your Barbies in the hall carpet. There are those that can make unbelievable feats, and shine with a gold medal in the chest. There are those that inspire people, with fiery speeches, shining as a lit torch deep in the darkest shadows. There is also stars that love us without conditions, despite having four legs and a tail. There are those stars that you find on the internet, making your eyes shine in anticipation, when they show up. Star are born. Stars die. Stars lives an ephemeral moment. Others lives eternally. Stars may be imaginary. They may be also touched. They may be in other universe. They may be by your side. They may be inside us. Stars may be anywhere, anytime, any space-time or time bend. Stars guide us, show us the way to be taken, the decision to be made, the speech to be spoken. The night is long, and the stars shine all the time left to us to know what to do. The night is dark, and the stars illuminate everything around us, just to help us see clearly. And even in the daytime the stars shine. Maybe with less power. Maybe less clearly. But they're there, just waiting we can see them, so they can guide us. They can feed us with everything we need. Everything we need to know, everything we must forget. Everything that is important. Everything that isn't. Stars are shiny, some more, some less. But all of them shines. And only go out of light when people forget about them. When there is no way of reaching your protecteds. We mustn't let this happen. We mustn't let them fade away. I won't certainly let mine. And I hope you won't too.
