The knowledge that haunts. (english version)
With a grim smile on his face, he stares at me. While laughing, he walks in my direction. I was paralyzed by fear, I had neither the courage to scream nor the strength to breathe. Fear took over my body and my worst nightmare was happening.
I was in a small room with no windows, lit by a single bulb with such a weak and trembling light that would extinguish it at any moment. There was no more hope, no more salvation. My mind was about to be destroyed by fear and my world would so stop existing. Everything that I believed was a lie. I was nothing but a pawn, manipulated and fooled by someone, a certain someone.
Everything that I had fought for was in vain. All my principles didn’t even exist; they were nothing, but an illusion created by that man, meant to manipulate me to do what he wanted. I used to believe in good and kindness and hoped the world could be saved. I also had a thirst for knowledge, and used to think that with it we could make the world a better place for each other. But today, in this room, one man turned all my knowledge and hopes into a curse, my worst nightmare. I just wish I wasn’t that curious and had not searched for answers to things that should have been kept unanswered. Oh... I so much wanted to forget it all and return to my good, ignorant old life. But now that’s impossible, the knowledge I’ve obtained will haunt me for all eternity. As the bulb’s light fades, so does my mind, leaving nothing but an empty body in a dark room.
