Cage and Jail

The mother tells the son off who stole a car toy from his neighbor from the neighborhood.

- You can’t do that! Stealing is awful! Those who steal, the police arrests and one stays locked in jail! Go back, return that and apologize to him right now!

The boy, with eyes filled with tears, agrees but protests:

- But I wanted to have a car toy like this, mom...

The mother, slaps his little butt. He cries and she stands firm and keeps her seriousness:

- Pay attention Bentinho! You can’t desire what belongs to others! You should to take care and play with your own toys! I’ll give you another car toy when I have more money. I’ve already told you that...

He listens, dries his crying and looks at the cage. He sees the sad bird, imprisoned, and in reflection he asks:

- Mom, if who goes to jail is the one who does something wrong, why is the bird imprisoned? Has it done anything wrong?

The mother looks at the cage, disturbed with the question, she sighs deeply and opens up.

- No, it hasn’t done anything wrong. But this is something different from this life... It is imprisoned, for us to listen to it singing. Now, go to play and let me finish my chores! Go!

Feeling remorse, and before her son’s question, she understands that the cage wasn’t suitable for the bird and sets it free.
