JESUS CHRIST – TRIUMPHAL VICTORY IN JERUSALEM AND IN THE WORLD

It was already late on a long march, shuddered through various winding and dusty paths, where Master Jesus had already traveled through all the cities, all the towns, all the towns and villages. Already in the city of Jericho, located on the west bank of the Jordan River, he tirelessly looked at the horizons that reflected the beauty of the palm trees with the light and gentle touch of the winds, and he never tired of professing the faith, pouring out his miraculous powers. . Thus, he observed Jesus of Nazareth, the great wall that fortified the city because of the invasions. There, leaning against the side of the great wall, a beggar in dirty robes, asked the people who hurried among the people.

The blind beggar begged, saying:

-Please! Tell me what's going on?

The rush between the passage of the entrance of Jericho changed the time and the hours, and the beggar was agonizing sitting next to the elevation that garrisoned the city, when a boy answers him:

The rush between the passage of the entrance of Jericho changed the time and the hours, and the beggar was agonizing sitting next to the elevation that garrisoned the city, when a boy answers him:

-It's Jesus! The Nazarene!

Emotion invaded the heart of that poor man who lived on the social margins, he could not see the Master, however, he knew of his benevolence and cures, while feeling his presence in the midst of that hurried crowd. He spared no effort and gave a shout.

-Jesus! Son of David, have mercy on me!

And he repeated it in a strong tone.

-Jesus! Son of David, have mercy on me!

The crowd going over, didn't give them any credibility, shrewd people and with jokes, said:

-Shut up, old man, he doesn't even listen to you.

Tears flowed from those closed eyes that had never seen the color of the sun, the glow of butterflies, and the smile of any child. In this way, insisted the beggar sitting and leaning against the wall of Jericho with his legs crossed, inhaling the dust left by the tracks of so many people who followed the Lord. Without caring, even though it was late, he screamed and screamed.

--Son of David, have mercy on me!

--Son of David, have mercy on me!

--Son of David, have mercy on me!

The wind at that time blew strongly towards Jesus, carrying the ardent and fervent supplication of that poor blind man among the crowd. For, that agglomeration that prevented any call from being heard, the breeze had penetrated among hundreds of people who followed in the footsteps of Our Lord. One could see the tearful acclamation of the dying blind man in shouting for the name of the Messiah, moments in which he made him stop and Jesus looked around and did not see who was protesting him so much by his name. And it was in that place with so many people around him, Jesus asked them to bring it.

In a few minutes, the beggar was taken to the presence of the King of the Jews, passing through the crowd, at which time Jesus asked them, with his soft voice and overflowing with wisdom;

-What do you want me to do for you?

With the tears shed by the closed pupils, the blind beggar answered;

-Sir, let me see.

Jesus, looking attentively at the blind man, let a luminous beam of blue, orange and invisible, in the form of very thin rays, rise from his eyes, gently lifting his right hand and adorned by that heart that beat in the gleam of mercy that saw nothing, I just felt the grip of his voice. And Jesus said to them:

-See; your faith has saved you.

After gently pronouncing the words in the conduct of the supplication, the blind man opened his eyes and saw the face of the Son of God and said:

-Blessed is the name of the Lord in the salvation of the world! Glory to you Lord!

The people around, glorified the name of the Lord with vast acclamation and the Master heard the glories poured out from the open pupils of that beggar, and of all present. Continuing his journey across the city of Jericho, the Beggar was the target of everyone who looked at the great miracle and the main witnesses of the Power of Jesus. The ex - blind man with the gift received, there was no other way not to thank him, following the light and soft footsteps of the Man of Nazareth. And yet, the apostles did not imagine that this would be their last walk towards the great city of Jerusalem, despite having met before with his twelve apostles and told them about his death, and they understood nothing.

Entering the center of Jericho, and wherever they went, their lights shone on their body, translating to captive eyes the need undertaken in all requests and requests for cures. There, just ahead in the city considered one of the oldest in the world, Mestre Jesus, described in a mild tone the parables to those who accompanied them, and all of them performed true acts of faith and quenched the thirst and hunger of love that all humanity always needed. Jericho became that morning, a great movement of people who listened to the teachings of the Lord, opening the true way to the gates of Jerusalem, following the apostles with the Master in their care and guarding the preciousness of all the themes and lessons of political, social life and brotherly love of Christ.

Mothers left their homes in a hurry by the immense news that ran through the narrow streets of Jericho, taking their children, old people, blind people, cripples, girls and boys, because everyone remembered their passage through the city performing miracles.

Some commented on the streets.

- Where are you going?

- I'm taking my son to Jesus of Nazareth! Save! He returned. How long have I been waiting.

The movement of the illustrious Master was present in a true procession through the streets and alleys of Jericho, crossing with his sweaty clothes and tiredness, the sweat shed on his face, several people approached Jesus, the Messiah to offer them everything, even the ladies were wiping their faces, which took on a sadness that did not show to the different looks.

Boys and girls climbed on the roofs to see the Master cross the small streets of the city, and as far as possible, Jesus continued on his path. Just ahead, a man with a height of 1.20 cm was looking among the crowd to know who Jesus was, due to his tiny size in the midst of those people, there was no way to see the Master. His name was Zacchaeus, the greatest leader of the republicans, enjoying an unparalleled and immeasurable wealth, advancing to one side and the other he went to the next street through which Our Lord would have to pass, and climbing a wild fig tree that could barely stand his small weight, he was looking for a better angle to see the Nazarene.

It didn't take long, the crowd filled all the streets of Jericho, leaving behind the dust carried by the wind with the weight of hurried feet. And Jesus raises his head and watching in a quick and precise turn the vision goes to meet the man who climbed the branches of the fig tree. Then, in a swift move, Jesus spoke loudly.

- Zacchaeus, come down quickly, because today it is convenient for me to land at your house.

The short man was amazed at the Nazarene to recognize and call him by his name, since he would never have seen Jesus at another time on his visits to Jericho, descending from the tree he crossed the crowd that made way for the call, ready with joy in his heart in look closely, saying:

-Sir! My house is over there, see. She will serve you together with your brothers.

The uncontrollable crowd with various jokes disagreed with the presence of Jesus as a guest in the house of a great sinner, and this one ready at the feet of the Lord, got up and said:

-Lord, behold, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone in any way, I repay him fourfold.

The Lord, looking into the eyes of Zacchaeus, said:

-Today salvation has come to this house, for this also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.

It is noted that Jesus transformed the life of Zacchaeus into the best seed of his kingdom, while the crowd awaited the Messiah, as he walked and stopped to tell them the parables, and without delay, they arrived in the village of Bethphage, and hastening the hours, they head for Bethany, a village behind the Mount of Olives only two miles from Jerusalem.

There in the village, Mestre wanted to rest in that locality, where he felt comfortable, because it was the village of Bethany that Lazarus, whom he loved and who had just a few days ago resurrected, in such a way that Bethany was the center of faith of the proclamation of this miracle, and the search for Lazarus did not stop. Seeing the beloved Lázaro and his sisters Maria and Martha not forgetting that they were special people for the Nazarene.

The apostles talked and ate at the house of the sisters of Lazarus, they attended to visitors from other places, including hundreds of pilgrims from Jerusalem, while Martha, sister of Lazarus, presented an accommodation made especially for Jesus to rest, going to rest, at which time the two sisters withdraw and talk a little distant.

-Martha! Don't you see the face of the Lord? Tired and downcast?

-Yes, I see and feel that there is a sadness in his eyes. As I hugged him when he arrived, I was taken by a great pain, something tells me that it is his last visit to our house.

-It is true. Also feel by their words and gestures that something bad will happen to them. Martha! What can we do to avoid the worst.

It was already late, Jesus had woken up and talked with the apostles, with a wide and bright smile he removed any presentiment from the eyes of the sisters of Lazarus. And from there, Jesus could see the Mount of Olives that made the primordial entrance to Jerusalem, where the Master preached his prayers and teachings. It was there, the Sacred Mount where he kept peace several times, taking his word with the Father, climbing many times on that mountain from where he could see the temple and all the aerial view of the cities and villages. Finally, it was the Mount of Olives, the place where the Son of Man opened the sky as if tearing a garment with a sword to speak and pray the invocations of all his strengths and weaknesses as a man.

Continuing his journey, he led the way to Jerusalem for the great Passover feast, and people began to gather and accompany him in his greatest celebrity. At every moment, the Man of Nazareth looked back and felt the strength of those people who never got tired. There, his divine strength was before his eyes, the redemption coming from the eyes of Christ, the only Son of God made Man, who from his birth had been sought and hunted to death. Walking and tracing in his silent steps, the crowd did not abandon him, they were thousands and thousands of people from the most distant regions of Judea.

Jesus looked around him, rested and told his parables, and so many old people, children, young people, paralyzed, sick, blind and sick with their infirmities, crossed the gorge covered with dust and sand lifted by the strength of their feet with firm and accurate steps. , in addition to the countless stones and boulders thrown to the ground. The apostles, his true brothers in the faith, would not leave him. Among several strong men who accompanied him, they asked the apostles to carry Jesus, since their feet burned in the intense heat, however, the Son of God renounced such help, demonstrating to those present that the path to human salvation is through sacrifices. and with benevolence.

In front of that gorge on the side of the mountain, it was a true army of Christ, the largest and most realistic of all the Roman power in the great Judea, there was no way to count, there was no way to enumerate the humanitarian gestures heading towards Jerusalem. Walking, there passed the Messiah, the beautiful, the magnificent, the merciful, the only heir to the throne of King David.

In that journey, the face of Jesus could be seen, calm, serene, clear and peaceful, and at times worried, having in his heart the beats in the cadence of the greatest cruiser of humanitarian passions. Jesus knew that he was coming to his greatest glory before the people and could no longer avoid the declaration of his reign and all its publicity.

The greatest symbol of the man who ever lived on the whole earth, even if there is some writer among the current men of little faith, does not undo his life and the paths of his personality before men themselves, and his eternity will never be overcome by certain writings. and texts that try to erase their preaching and rebirth of the love of God made flesh on earth. Undertaking the hard walk on the rocks, Master Jesus tirelessly did not give up on the goals that were set, although sadness bounced back in his mind and spread through his eyes when he saw that the same crowd that accompanied him in the protection, would fall apart. between divine power and human power.

Upon reaching the top of the Mount of Olives, Jesus sat down and the apostles tried to calm the great crowd. At that moment, a sudden weakness struck his legs, and the Son of Man did not give up in the name of the glory of God and for the mercy of his people. That great escort, they sat in the trees, while Jesus called two disciples who presented themselves instantly. They asked, getting ready:

-Yes Master, how can I serve you?

Jesus, still tired, looked around and said to them.

-Go to the village opposite you; and as soon as you enter there, you will find a colt tied there, on which no man has yet sat; release it and bring it to me. And if anyone says to you, Why do you do this?, tell him that the Lord needs him, and he will soon let him be brought here.

The closest place to where the Nazarene was was the village of Bethany where the disciples went, finding the colt tied outside the door where two paths passed. The owner, seeing the disciples releasing his animal, said:

-What are you doing, releasing the colt?

But they told them as Jesus had commanded them; and let them go.

It was about three o'clock in the afternoon when the two apostles arrived with the colt on the Mount of Olives, and Jesus knew that the appointed hour was coming strongly, as the Holy Scriptures prayed. However, melancholy and sadness insisted on encompassing his efforts, feeling numbness in his legs, he sat on the colt that was covered with a blue blanket with several glittering stars in the color of gold, piled up with different garments of the apostles.

The sun in its declining position dazzled in yellow and orange tones in the direction of Jerusalem, opening with intensity the trajectory of the King of the Jews. And so, he assumed in his heart and unintentionally in his father's will that he was already prepared to enter the eternal city with his people.

The countenance of Jesus conveyed an extreme range of vivacity in that great human cord positioned in front of him. The women, men and elders prepared the trail where the greatest Man of humanity would pass, throwing flowers, leaves and green branches adorned in the most diverse colors on the ground. There was the true army of God, the greatest escort of the Son of man ever seen by all mankind. It is noteworthy that no army, however armed, existed on the earthly face would be able to face him on that journey of God.

The people, among the most diverse that were found, headed down Monte Santo, boys and girls climbed the tops of the palm trees and removed their straws, others from the trees and broke accompanied by a vast crowd, others cut the branches and made beautiful flower arrangements. The sky became bluer triumphant in the center the Star of David, with sparkles in its six points that could be seen from any part of the world its glare. An army of angels opened the heavens behind small white clouds that looked like cotton flakes and their trumpets in the color of golden gold sounded in the four corners of Jerusalem and throughout Judea, illuminating the passage of the Messiah.

This last time, the Messiah would enter through the main gates of the great Jerusalem as a King in the same manner in which he declared the Holy Scriptures;

"Just and saved, poor, and riding on an ass, and on a colt, the foal of an ass" (Zechariah 9:9).

And the people watched the poor man Jesus, mounted on his colt, parading in magical steps, with a circular aura around his head that bathed the eyes and bowed the thoughts of the powerful. So it was, the gigantic divine proclamation of the King of the Jews, Kings of all Kings.

Every centimeter traveled, the Prince rode masterfully on top of that docile animal, passing in front of the residence of a very rich Roman citizen who was chasing Jesus of Nazareth to kill him, when he saw such a covering of a human sheet entering the main street of Jerusalem. , he ran into his house, and took several gold chains and bracelets, and presented himself to the King of the Jews, rejoicing in his glory and putting all his wealth on the colt's feet, and tears fell from his eyes.

The Messiah, Son of God slowly raised his right hand and extended it towards the Roman citizen, as his eyes thanked the journey of a multitude of requests and healings. Women raised their children in the presence of the Almighty, others from the branches of the trees insistently sought to observe the accomplishment of the Son of God. The floors of the narrow streets of Jerusalem were all colored with flowers and green branches, even the Sanhedrin and all the Roman Guard were silent before the true Son of God who passed peacefully in those narrow streets being acclaimed as King. Soon, it could be seeing the inhabitants of Bethany, Jericho, and other villages that added the glorification of Jesus in his humility.

The Jewish people, taken by so much hope and suffering, believed that by making the Messiah King of the Jews he could make war with the Romans, he could impose order and expel with his divine power the atrocities committed by the authorities, giving them freedom, nationality, a form of new social policies. Many did not believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, however, they intended to see the foundations of a just society restored, bewildering the Roman principles imposed on that people. But, that Jewish people did not understand their prophecy of faith, they thought that the Messiah, the Nazarene, would take the kingdom and government, giving the people freedom and grace.

In the real truth, Jesus knew that he could not take any kingdom from Judea, much less impose a kingdom to the liking of that crowd, since his reign transmitted a profession of faith and mercy with a just mission to save human souls and to be eternally the Redeemer of mankind as described in the words of Scripture. Notably, the Jewish people understood that by making Jesus Christ their King, there would be a way to overthrow the powers that ruled the entire nation and its oppressors.

A few days ago in the village of Bethany, as I said later, the Messiah had performed the greatest and most extraordinary miracle by raising Lazarus from the dead four days ago from a tomb. See, the miracle resulted in the most unexpected affair in all Judea with witnesses seen by the people.

Voices echoed and palm leaves and branches were thrown where the triumphal Jesus passed and everyone exclaimed:

"Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed is the kingdom of our father David, blessed is the King of Israel who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna, peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!"

And all the people hailed as the King of Israel, the Messiah, the Savior, the Son of David who had reigned over the twelve tribes of Israel a thousand years before, and God had promised that his throne would be forever. It was the greatest festivity and the city was completely stirred with the celebration of Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee, the triumphant for all eternity. Amen.
