4. NOBODY SAW COMING

It was middle of autumn, when the trees would give freedom to the leaves that'd go freely with the wind… When the whole world suddenly seemed to have been colored orange and yellow; when every single thing, everybody was preparing for the long and cold months arriving as each day ended.

It took place on a thursday. The youngest of the siblings was the one who found Pietro laid in the center of the bedroom. The birds were chirping alongside the window as if nothing had happened.

Some weeks later the family would be told about the reason for Pietro's death, at least medically speaking.

An irresponsible mixture of antidepressants, a medication prescribed to treat anxiety and a very considerable amount of heroin within his system. A fatality nobody saw coming since on the outside Pietro was the most optimistic person they could ever meet.
