Valdeck Almeida de Jesus (February 15, 1966), is an author and noted literary and cultural figure in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. He was born in the town of Jequié, Bahia, then later lived on Tourmaline Farm, in the Itagibá region of Bahia. He attended the College of Nursing, and also entered the literary studies program, at the southwestern State University of Bahia, and has subsequently studied at various institutions in Salvador, where he has lived since 1993.
In addition to his literary projects, de Almeida has been a columnist for the Zonamix and Radarmix sites since 2006. He is a member of the Canadian Federation of Poets (since 2004), and the Brazilian Writers' Union (União Brasileira de Escritores)-UBE (since 2006). After Bahian writer, journalist and professor Jean Wyllys won Big Brother Brasil in 2005, De Almeida founded the Jean Wyllys Fan Club.

De Almeida has published his work in a wide variety of anthologies, and is the author of several books of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, including:
