If you look at yourself...

There is a song that goes something like: “If you look at yourself, you will find me in you!” Actually, it is an old song from the time Brazilian singers made success only if they sang in English. Poor guys, having to resort to singing in a language some of them did not know anything about or what the lyrics meant. But what I want to point out here is not exactly the song itself, but the words I cited above. Isn’t it funny and although too romantic, still true? After loving someone for “some” time, ( there is no need to say “long time”, as many would expect to read) both of you start getting the same tastes, the same dreams, enjoying listening to the same songs - even if you had hated those songs before - wishing to go to the same places to stay together, letting alone make love at the same time, (that’s what I call “being in tune” with each other). All that makes both of you look like you are ONE only, which justifies the meanings of the song lyrics above.

I think it is the only time when you apparently mingle all your wishes and dreams with someone else’s and do not feel bad about it. You are still yourself after all! Love is the only one to blame for the changes in your life, heart, body, and mind. But then it is the only time when LOVE is forgiven for having changed your strong beliefs that the “YOU” comes first of anything else in life.

If I have not made any sense to you with all these nonsense words, forget about them! The lyrics of a song may not mean anything to your story but may mean to mine!
