Saying that God exists is not as important as...
Saying that God exists is not as important as keeping his commandments. We have to fear him. And that means keeping those commandments. This is the first obligation of a child of God. After all, by them, he will judge everyone, levelling them. Psalm 96:13 and 98:9.
Furthermore, saying that you love Him is fruitless if you don't obey the real principles that He has determined. His Spirit says: ‘If you love me, you will keep my commandments. He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father. And we will come to him and make our home with him. John 14:14, 21 and 23.
It also says: ‘Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love’. John 15:9, final part and 10.
Loving your neighbour is no substitute for loving God. This is the first love; the second love must be towards our neighbour. The whole law depends on these two commandments.
So don't be fooled by anyone.
