Parabéns, Pai!

Para Venício

Meu pai,

Quem me dera

Chegar aos 50 anos

Com sua jovialidade

Mas sem sua barriga

De grávida

Essa barriga tem história

Como a sola do sapato

Que guarda a poeira sagrada

Da luta diária

Do herói cotidiano.

Tu vinhetes do sertão

Com toda a arrumação

No caminhão

Para rimar e bailar

Na capital.

Tu és grande

Nobre

Devoto ao trabalho

E eu alado

Tu tens os pés no chão

E eu sou o teu balão

Levanto voou para o futuro

És bancário

E eu poeta

Tu és o arco

E eu sou a flecha

E o alvo,

É a vida.

Tenho tua paciência

E tua dedicação ao trabalho

Sou teu filho

Tu és meu mestre

Sou teu mestre

E diz na bíblia:

“Que o mestre se tornará servo”

És humilde bastante para compreender

Essa cristã passagem

E de passagem na vida

Digo-te:

Somos amigos

Para sempre,

Pai.

Congratulations, Dad!

To Venício

My father,

I wish

Reaching 50

With your youthfulness

But without your belly

Pregnant

That belly has a story

Like the sole of a shoe

That keeps the sacred dust

From the daily struggle

From the everyday hero.

You come from the backlands

With all the tidiness

In the truck

To rhyme and dance

In capital.

You're big

Noble

Devoted to work

And I winged

You have your feet on the ground

And I am your balloon

Levanto flew to the future

Are you a banker?

And I'm a poet

You are the bow

And I am the arrow

And the target,

Is life.

I have your patience

And your dedication to work

I'm your son

You are my master

I am your master

And it says in the Bible:

“That the master will become a servant”

You are humble enough to understand

This Christian passage

And passing through life

I tell you:

We're friends

Forever,

Father.
