Who cares?

I’m not the best one to give empty promises

Because I know how much they hurt

And I still believe too much

Though I’m pretty rational

If it was you in my place

You probably wouldn’t mind hurting me

It’s really easy trying to hurt somebody

And, sometimes, you’re not even trying…

It just happens

But it’s hard if you don’t want to hurt

Because sometimes what you want

Will become what you shouldn’t

And sometimes you’ll just have to let it go

Or you will try to stay

But for some reason you won’t be able to

You may also care about someone who doesn’t care

And in trying not to hurt that person

The one hurt will be yourself

Well, apparently it’s really hard

To find an end in which nobody gets hurt

And the choice you have is whom you’ll try to save

Or decide not to care at all

After all, who really cares?
